A rolling sheet cutter. something like this.

Guess you have had better success than I because I have tried those type cutters as well as the old school paper guillotine cutters and they crack the abalone. Have tried razor knifes but the best I can do is with carbide blades in a razor knife and it takes quite afew passes to get clean cuts all the way through. Always thought about a cheap laser for cutting these. But have switched to the real pliable stuff for rod users and it cuts well. The problem there is the amount of choice for colors. Good job. I do have an idea that I want to try at some time that would be of help.
