Hope everyone is doing well. Here are a few Buckeye Burl pens I've made recently. This is one of my favorite woods to work with. Any critiques or comments are always welcome. Thanks for looking!
You may be correct. My fiancé is the one who shoots the photos. She is still learning to use the camera. I may mention this as we were both wondering on how to get more of the pen in focus.Buckeye burl is certainly beautiful and looks great on these pens! Which kit is that fountain pen?
As for critique, I would comment on the pictures. I know a little about photography, but really shouldn't say much since I shoot with my phone, but here I go opening my mouth anyway. Metadata says you are shooting with a DSLR. I wonder if narrowing the aperture a little would bring the ends into focus? If you are shooting pics of these to sell, it would be worth checking into.
Also very true. There's some good info in the photography forum. Just the fact that there is a separate forum dedicated to it says how important pictures are. These look great! As for the photos, how close is the camera to the pens? The focal length changes as you back away. I shoot my longer length shots from far away and then crop the picture in in editing.
