you decide on what to call it. The blank is from Eugene Soto at muttblanks.com. NIb is a JoWo #6. Cap/body threads are M13 x .8 triple lead. Section/body threads are M10 x 1 single lead. nib unit threads are M7.4 x .8. Enjoy and comments welcome. The section ended up being made from a piece of black someting I had when the section portion went south. I think I like black for the section. There will be more.
Do a good turn daily!

I have many of jim's fine tools; rick herrell also makes the mandrels. in fact, he made mine double sided (2 different threads sides per end). just an idea.

I got them from Jim Hinze at hinzepens.com but I will be making my own at some point. I have a metal lathe and need to learn to use it.

His mandrels look very nice. One of the 1st things I did on a metal lathe when I started making pens was to make my own mandrels. First one was hard and was pretty awful. After that it got pretty straight forward. It's worth the effort. :)

Here you go Don. Please forgive the delay-

The 3 nice ones (female thread) are Rick's; thy are made from SS. Each end has a different thread size. The center shoulder is long enough to be grabbed by the chuck jaws. I also was him to use a diameter that serves as rough bushings. Mine is the one the one made of aluminum. Rick's are more true than mine. I only asked Rick to make min with female threads.
