New Pen: From a collaboration with Sandra Principe (
www.sandraprincipe.com), a fellow member of the Galena Cultural Arts Alliance (
www.hellogalena.org).
I turned the barrels, sanding to 150 grit so the paint would adhere better. After being painted I put the barrels back on the lathe at the lowest setting and sprayed w/ clear Krylon until the Krylon started to drip off (this allows excess to drip off w/o leaving runs). Allowed to dry overnite and lightly wet sanded w/ 800 grit. Buffed w/ Red Tripoli, White Diamond, and Carnuba.
Pen is a 10 Kt. Gold Gentlemens Rollerball.
