Guess going bankrupt and getting Nolan Ryan take control sure helped. Looks like the Giants are in the same position the Rangers were tonight, should be a good series with good pitching.

REALLY nice to see them get to the Series for the first time. I'm hoping they get to meet the Phillies there. IMHO, a Cliff Lee/Roy Halliday opening game matchup would be classic baseball.

I think it's their Good Luck pens I gave them...with a little help from Keith...

WOW! The Washington Senators back in the World Series for the first time since 1924!

Oh.

Wait.

That's right.

Bob Short snuck the team out of town in the middle of the night back in 1971 and re-named them the Texas Rangers.

Oh, well. Good luck anyway!

Yesseree, Texas played well. Watch the other teams. Their games put you to sleep compared to the way these two teams played. Anyone from Phillie or San Fran??

John, I agree with you. Watching last night, the game was kinda boring. I was only watching to see who "we" were going to play Wednesday. I am glad San Francisco won, don't know why except we used to live out there. I am going out on the limb.....Rangers in 4! I am a bit affaid of Wilson (Grizzly Adams) Go Rangers!

Chief, I'm gonna hold you to the 4 games!

OK Tim! Originally I was going to say in 5, but needed to add a bit of excitement to the prediction. Haven't watched the National League, except for a couple post season games, good pitching was their strong suit in the games I saw, games were slow, boring and low scoring. Rangers have the pitching, hitting and exciting to watch. We will see starting Wednesday. Can't wait! For now though, to the garage, got a pair of wedding pens to make and actually one that is sold.

What is the definition of Poetic Justice???

A-Rod Striking Out LOOKING to end teh game and send the Rangers to the Big Show!!!!:eek: LMAO!! Go home Yankees!!!!! Thanks for playing!!

How about them Giants. Would you like to make a small wager on the series. Say a Sierra or Cigar kit and a blank? When I was working I ran or was in World Series Pools, just made it a little more fun. Nothing expensive Nice kit and a Freebe Yippeee from Ed. I have a bunch of those and they are all nice. I will be flipping back and forth between the Series game the the NBA Kings opener on Wednesday. Have more hope for the Giants. Don't think the Kings are ready for prime time yet.

You do realize that one person will make out no matter who wins the series.

The Rangers catcher Molina will get a winners ring from whcih either time wins the series. He was the Giants catcher most of the year until they traded him to the Rangers. This allowed the Giants to use their Rookie Catcher Buster Posey. Wonder if he will get a winners share from the Giants?

Hey i'm a big fan of that evil empire the Yankees.Been a fan as long as i can remember ,even before my cousin played for them.Next year he will be coaching the dodgers:biggrin:

Watched the last game and I thought that the pitching, from both sides, was very good. It all starts here in town on Wednesday. It was really something for them to come home last night. They got quite a welcome.

I went to one of the first games when they moved out here. Was at the old Seals Ballpark. Don't have a clue who any of the players are now. Lost interest when they had the strike. Go to minor league River Cats game now, can't afford the Majors any more.

Sorry Tim! I think both teams were taken over by aliens. Sure didn't look like the Giants I watched a few days ago, and the same with the Rangers. No more predictions for me. However, we still got games left to finish it at the BallPark! No, that is not a prediction. Come On RANGERS!

It is a grand plan of the Rangers coach. Now he has fresh pitchers, has studied the competition, has a plan. We will win the next two in grand style and momentum will carry over into San Francisco to win the next four.
Sorry guys, that is the way ii is.

John, in Texas.

The Fat lady sounds good. She is singing loudly. Last time the Giants won the Series, I was in the 6th grade and we listened to it on the Radio. They hadn't moved to CA ye,t but we always listened to the Series at school in the those days. They were all day games if I remember, and thim difference had them starting in late morning here. God I am old.

Crapola. RitzleFritzen. DingDangit, even. Tom, looks like I need your address so I can get a cigar kit and a blank in the mail to you. Maybe I should send you a blank of snakewood. Yep, that would serve you right (just kidding, unless you'd like to try one of the tricky, tempermental, crack-prone little devils).

LYLE

I will PM the address. Send what you want. If it is any consolation. Had the Giants not been in the Series we would have rooted for the Ranger as it was their first time. They have a good team and owner but like they say crap happens at times. Your fans are great. They have all ready arrested 5 or 6 in SF, more to come.

No commie plot, just amazing pitching and hitting. Sorry about the Rangers, but
GO GIANTS. They did a great job, both teams were amazing in their pitching.
