This started as flaming box elder then I set it on fire.

Of course setting wood on fire isn't innovative.
(HaH! another one liner!)

This is wood? Do you use a laser to cut your pieces? This is unbelievable! I look forward, as usual, to the finished product.

Real woodworkers don't use lasers,I can't afford one.
Nothing against those that do, I don't believe wood should be worked with a computer and lights.

Eagle,

This almost looks like you skinned the wood to expose the nerves, sinews and muscles underneath the surface. Incredible! Go ahead and explain how you did it, I wouldn't understand anyway!

Great blank Eagle, I just don't like that nib with that pen. I really like the shape and design of the pen as well, just not the nib you choose to put on.

You are the Mad Scientist... I too am not a fan of that Flat top kit nib end. Since I have been using the caps off of all my kits for the casing pens, I have to find a use for them too...

That is one tedious and great looking blank!

I had a sneak preview of this pen. Superlatives fail. 'Blew me away' comes closest. I talked to Eagle yesterday and he claimed this was 'just a pen'. Gotta disagree. It is no more 'just a pen' than a great painting is just cloth and paint. This is workmanship, art, creativity, innovation and functionality presented in the form of a pen. The vision that is required to make something like this is way beyond the capabilities of most of us here. Me? I can't begin to comprehend how he does this.

Eagle,

You are absolutely right, "the white wood kinda' disappeared!!"

Nice work but I agree that a "metal" nib (gold or silver) might look better.

But, as you know, I am not a fan of the flat-top pen. To each his own and to you my compliments!!
