I had a box of pens near my desk and one of my cohorts from work asked if I was
going to sell them. [8D]

We talked a bit, and I told him that two galleries will be carrying them
and I'm talking to a retailer in town.

He bought the second one on the left for his wife -- a spalted maple burl slimline.

It's gotta start somewhere. Y'all are a big inspiration -- thanks!

Sweet! Congratulations! Sounds to me like you can now justify buying more wood, kits, a new lathe, a new drill press, a new band saw, a new grinder/sharpener, a new disc sander, a new buffing set-up, and some new finishes!

Bwahahahahahahaha! Good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.

Thanks. It does feel good. Nah, it feels great!
I've sold other items I've built but I've only been turning pens for about 3 weeks.
So having two art galleries lined up to carry my work is very encouraging.

Actually selling a pen to someone I know. That's rewarding--it's a real compliment.

I can see the reality check coming. LOML will ask, "Yeah, what else? Don't spend it all in one place." [;)]

But, no pens tonight, I'm a UF Alumni -- tonight we've got the BCS.

GO GATORS!

So sorry I don't have time to look at your pens-cause it's 56 minutes to CHOMP CHOMP time. Also a huge Gator fan here!
Really, pens are really nice and I think he got a beautiful pen.
Now with word of mouth--stand-by for more orders. Good Luck on your sales and also the game tonight.

Just wait until he comes back for more. It feels good to sell to repeat customers. By the way I am not a Gators fan, but I do enjoy the SEC so....Way to go UF. It would have been a better game if Ohio State had shown up to play.[;)]
