Well, I just couldn't stand it. See, I have been a fan of Holo Flake ever since the early 90's when I saw them on Fender Guitars. So when Woodturningz said they had a Holoflake acrylic blank, well I had to break down and get some. Here it is on a Wall III
OK now that you have seen the good the bad and the ugly, here is the deal, I think this blank could stand a final coat of CA finish. Even the ends. Because the blank has a grainy feel even when finished to 12000 mm because of the media that gives it the look.
Is it a great Holoflake? Well if you are looking for something to go side by side with your Fender strat Holoflake, you will be left wanting. BUT this is none the less a very cool blank. Anyways, I thought I would share my experience.
