My son and I did a road trip from the Pittsburgh area to the Woodcraft store in Parkersburg. He wanted to make a fountain pen for a friend and I thought it would be best for him to see the pens in real life.

He finally got to making it last Sunday. We went to put it together and it was missing 3 parts (fountain pens a have a ton).

He emailed them that night and at 8:00 AM the next morning he got a response that they were going to send him the parts.

So only issue is that its going to be a late Xmas present.

I really like Woodcraft. I buy most of my pen kits from our great IAP vendors, but I like to support my local Woodcraft store also. Some things cost a little more there, but running a retail store is very costly & I really like the convenience of instant purchase and sight & hands on shopping. The also have great sales from time to time as well as classes & demonstrations and most of their employees are knowledgable & helpful turners.
