Wood Stores Lost Angeles Area

I will be travelling to the Los Angeles area week after next and have some time during the week to visit local wood stores. Is there anything within a reasonable distance of Los Angeles that I should consider visiting?

It's not a wood store but if you have a few hours, you owe it to yourself to visit the Fountain Pen Shop in Monrovia, which is just south of I-210 near Pasadena.

The owner, Fred Krinke is a real nice man to talk to and I could sit and listen to his pen related stories for hours since his whole life has been involved with pens.
