I am currently on assignment in a shipyard where the vessel was put into drydock yesterday. Many of the supporting blocks require compound curves that were cut with a HUGE bandsaw with multi axis tilt on the table. After congratulating the staff for the excellent job of blocking the ship (everything fit perfectly) I started talking to the carpenters who built the blocks. Next thing I was walking away with a rather large chunk of Ligmun Vitae! They ripped a few boards for me and left the rest (at my request)
