WIP- Flame Box Elder - then there was four.

Just finished coring this "WONDERFUL" Flame Box Elder blank. The original blank was 10.5 x 5.:biggrin:

They are now happily packed away hopefully to stimulate some spalting, not that much is required.

I purchased the blank on ebay, and the postage from the US dictated cutting as many bowls as possible.

Will post the finished pieces when they are done sometime in the future.

what coring system are you using?

Woodcut. www.woodcuttools.com The system comes with a 4in and a 5in knife and can be set to cut any desired depth or width. Current price is $387.40 NZD.

I find it really good.

Have had only one blow up and that was a weak blank which I should have supported, before I started.
