l also say they came out Great, i also like the mix of Wood /Ali
Thank you for the comment about the wood. Do you think the wood looks better than the aluminum? It would not take much to convince me to use wood as it is easier than the aluminum. I used 1/2 inch aluminum and as you might guess, the drill had to travel in a perfect and center line. I had pretty good luck in that regard.

Really nice pen. How did you harden the cork?
Didn't. Johnny suggested to use raw cork but that would not work and would get dirty too fast. I used one or two coats of BLO/CA and then three coats of CA. I then polished the finish but had to be careful not to take the thin coats off.
