white oak and corian

I made the white oak vessel, then the corian cap and base. I didnt like the color combination, so I changed the color of the vessel. I think it shows off the acccents and the sillhouette better than it did with the plain face grain oak.

Very nice. What did you use on the outside of the vessel if you don't mind my asking?

I used 2 coats of jesso, followed by two coats of craft paint. After the photo i added 2 coats of high gloss spray on lacquer for shine. I may remove it, though, not sure I like it.

How much do you need? I have a 5' X 6"X 1/2" sheet. Thanks, the camera helped sell my existing lathe on craigs list in about two hours. I ordered a new grizzly today, should be here in a few days.
