These two pens represent my first attempts at close ended, modified gents. I know this is old had to all the whizzes here, but I've had the mandrels for six months and finally worked up the nerve. Nothe that the final version, the red bakelite is slightly larger, it's a Jr. Gent and a half and works very well from a balance point of view.

The side story to these two pens is that no matter what I used on these pens something would go wrong. In the two cases where I ordered parts the wrong order arrived here. In both cases the vendors in question (Bill Baumbeck and DCBluesman) went way beyond the call of duty to fix the problem -- the ivory blanks came from AS and the glorious gold nib and convertor on the red bakelite came from Lou, whose nibs simply can't be beat.

And thanks to all the folks who put pictures of their pens out her where I can steal ideas.
