Hi Guys & Gals
I wandered through my local sawmill some time ago and one of the guys let me take away some 3"x3"x38" pices of wood some was purpleheart and the other was a yellow hardwood. He told me what it was at the time but I was too busy loading 5 large pieces of purpleheart in my car boot
Now i am trying to identify it to see if it is any good for blanks.
Grain is very tight and faint. It is yellowish in colour and Stinks(Not unlike manure) when you cut it. The sawdust is a fine yellow dust.
Any Ideas
