Did I see the wood blank blow out on the right side? It's at 1:04 in the video of the colt drill bit. The bit is impressive, seems to cut fast and clean. Just thought they would have caught the blow out and not published that part of the video.

Thanks for the links Jarred. Love the laser engraver. I'd never seen one work before. Is this how most engravers work?.

I know very little about laser engravers; but can offer the following. The laser pictured is a 10 watt laser which is a relatively low power rating. The pictured laser is made by a company in Canada so service might be a problem if you have problems.

Lasers that are typically used for pen work usually run in the $10,000 to $15,000 range. Are you prepared to spend that kind of money? You can send a pen to Ken Nelsen and he will engrave it for $5 for the first line IIRC and I bet quantity discounts would be available if you sent him 20 pens at a time. A laser engraver really isn't economically practical for the average pencrafter,
