Would it be weird to make a pen for a maternity gift? Kind of a "baby's first pen" theme?

I have made some using nail decals of baby feet in both blue and pink. The expectant mothers loved them.

I don't think it's weird at all. Here is one I did for a "first-timer", had it ready for a shower gift.

If you could get a copy of the baby's footprint like they take at the hospital, you could wrap the tube with the footprint with the baby's name and birthdate printed and cast in in poly. I think the new mom would love it and it would become a family keepsake. Just a thought...
