Wedding present

Well this is what started my whole pen turning obsession.. I build this as a wedding present for my wife... needed some hand hammered, mission style hardware.... so off to Rockler I went. There was an older gent giving a demo on pen turning and that is all she wrote.. I left the store with more than just the hardware. This piece is stained oak and maple insets on the doors. The diamond in the side of the cabinet was fun to create.

Ahh, flatsawn oak, my wife's favorite furniture wood. Nice job. I'll bet your wife is happy with it. I too like the diamond.
