I hate to waste time and material so I thought I'd ask first before I attempt this.
I want to place waterslide decals, printed with my inkjet on a clear decal, on brass 30 caliber casings and then clear powdercoat them. Will this work or will I melt the decal? Logic tells me it will melt.
I'm trying to avoid an extra step of placing the decal over the powder coated casing and then CAing over it.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
TIA.

I have done some powder coating in brass and my guess would be that the decal would melt under the 400 degree temps. You could always try one and see what happens. You can recover the brass by soaking in acetone if it doesn't work.
