Walnut Burl Vase

It's been a fight from the word go -- but I won. Don't tell anyone that it is 6 inchs shorter than when I started. This blank is from the Walnut burl I cut up a couple of days ago. The shape ain't sexy but the wood makes up for it. This is fresh of the lathe and only has a coat of Danish oil on it.

Chris by the time I get a dozen coats of oil buffed in --it will be really stand out.

Gary,that is a very nice looking vase,how about some more pics. when you get it finished?,I've seen lots of walnut but nothing like that,love it.
