A new concept off my work bench this weekend. An aluminum closed end enclosed in figured walnut with a #5 Bock fine nib. Simple and modern with a slim 14mm OD. Comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Danny, that´s a nice combination of materials.
Is there a sleeve or something like that inside the cap or is it pure wood?
I made a fountain pen some weeks ago from ebonite and mahagony,
but i didn´t made a sleeve inside the cap, just a finial and a threaded part top and bottom.
So there is some "open" wood close to the nib and the ink is drying out so incredible fast.
How is your cap made?
