Great article Tom. I enjoyed reading how they are made. Quite the factory, and it's quite a process they go through. Don't try this at home.[:D]

Maybe someday I'll make FP's also. I actually have a couple of Jr Gent II FP kits somewhere LOL.

Thanks Tom. Seeing those nibs punched and still on the strip reminds me of when I worked at a lid making plant. (Pepsi and Anheuser Busch lids). The tabs for opening were stamped and formed completely on the strip, just held on by a tiny piece that was cut as the lid was 'bradded' on to the lid as it went through the press at 600 plus strokes a minute. That place makes around 35 million A DAY!
