As usual with my pics, they never do a blank justice. MarkD made several custom colors for me. This is actually a beautiful turquoise with hemlock cones. The pic doesn't reflect its real color.
My only regret is that I under-turned the lower barrel. I really don't like it to exceed the diameter of the upper barrel (just my preference).
It's my first Virage FP, and I have found the nib to write smoothly.
2 coats of thin Mercury CA, 10 coats of medium, P2-10 accelerator.
Then finished as described below (no water).
