Here is a pen I made for a customer using some neat green/black lizard skin pattern vintage cellulose acetate I purchased from Mr. Burls a while back, and black ebonite.
This was kind of a neat commission. The customer wanted to pay homage to the vintage German fountain pens, so she provided a fantastic old Soennecken 14K gold nib to build the pen around. She fell in love with the vintage cellulose acetate and decided to use that for the barrel material. We decided to go with classic black ebonite for the rest of the pen, and finished it off with an extremely high quality 3-d printed bronze snake roll stop. I also made a little faceted pen rest out of ebonite for her.
This is a smallish pen, but it's postable. It uses a piston filling system to draw the ink up in it, which I made. This one was quite a bit of fun to make.
