SOLD
Up for sale:
Three redwood blanks for the USS Forrestal CV-59 and one blank from the USS Des Moines. This wood HAS NOT been stabilized. $75.00 including shipping within the USA. Sold as a set only. This will be the last of my Navy wood I am offering for sale. I plan to use the rest to make pens when I retire.
The Forrestal wood came from a ladder handrail in officers country. The Des Moines wood is from the teak wood deck. The Des Moines was the Navy's last all gun heavy cruiser (no missiles).
I am including COAs for both ships including one with the Forrestal and Des Moines refueling.
Blanks measure:
USS Forrestal -
5.90" x .9" x .86"
6" x .9" x .98"
6" x 1" x 1"
USS Des Moines
6" x .85" x 1"
I've included a photo of a pen I made that paired the Forrestal and Des Moines woods. This pen is not part of the package.
