Pretty normal looking pens, but the wood for them is special to me. The top pen was made from wood that came from my dad's childhood bed. The bottom wood is from planks my grandfather kept meaning to use to fix up his barn, before he died back in '01.
Thanks to people not throwing stuff away, I have a nice couple of keepsakes, and enough extra material to make some more, if I need to.

The most valuable pen blanks

are those that are made with memories.

I brought home from this Christmas trip, some branches from trees on the old homestead. They will go back with me next year as pens for my sisters.

Very nice pens :good:
my most treasured possessions are the tools & belongings of my late father, the continued use of the items that were our forebearers is very cathartic
