The red is a pearled Omas blank with resin ivory end caps (the barrel end unscrews to allow access to the converter handle)

The amber is from Vermont Freehand. First time with double cap rings. Jowo #6 nibs, 3x 12mm cap threading.

Thanks for the nice words. I'm not crazy about red pens, and since I'd never worked with Omas acrylic before, I figured it'd be "no harm, no foul" if the stock turned out to be brittle or whatever. The Italian amber acrylic was a pleasure to use, looked great polished to 12,000 mm, but really popped after buffing. It's a little lighter than what I think of as tortoise shell...it's translucent and quite interesting to look at in the light.
