Acquired this tool that I doubt I'll use much. It's much bigger than it looks. 25" long in total, nice hardwood handle, shaft is round stock that's been flattened on the bottom to ride the tool rest.

This was commercially made in the USA but seems to be no longer available.

Not sure if the cutter is carbide that's been coated in titanium nitride or something else. But it's a heck of a lot bigger than the EWT cutters.

Asking $50 plus shipping.

I think I would like it ... but a little info first, please

What is the name on the shank ? Looks like NE(w.........).

How big is the cutter (diameter and thickness) ? .. Any nicks out of it ?

And, how big is the head of the screw (diameter) that holds the cutter on, and what diameter is the threaded part of the screw ?

Just trying to get an idea of the likely availability of replacement parts.

Thanks.

It says new edge cutting tools. Made in USA. 1" Round. The cutter is quite thick. There are a couple little nicks. The screw is 1/8" Allen and came out easily and is in great shape.
