Turning/Finishing Ebony

Is ebony treated as any other wood? I don't know why I just feel like it might need to be treated differently than anything else I turned.

What about finishing. Just sand to 12000 and use CA Finsih?

Thats what I do and I haven't had any problems with Ebony. When drilling, make sure you drill on the slowest speed so you don't build up excess heat. Too much heat will cause the blank to crack.

ok i usually just take extremely small bites with the bit as well

I'll echo the drilling and heat causes cracks. If the bit or blank starts to get even warm, stop and let it cool off.

Ditto here , Heat is the enemy with certian woods , including Ebony . Keep it as cool as you can while drilling and sanding or it WILL crack .
