Finishing my second tru-stone and can not seem to get the finish I am looking for. The first attempt was a Persian Turquoise and it was simple to polish (wet sand and polish with Brasso). The second, an Arizona Jade, turned easily, however I'm not "thrilled" with the final finish. Thinking about picking up a micro-mesh sanding kit and giving that a try … Any thoughts?

I would agree. Ive done several Tru-Stone pens with micro mesh with great results.

My finishing technique is MM to 12000, buff, and a plastic polish. I've found meguires PlastX polish (found in wally world or other likewise stores) to be the best for tru-stones and other acrylics. When I use my buffer I use Tripoli first and then white diamond, on separate wheels mind you. Hope this helps. Best of luck!
