I have a friend who sent me this picture asking me if I knew what it was.

My Google searches have come up with everything its NOT but not what it is. I have a feeling it has something to do with thread work or quilting or some such as it looks like its designed to hold a spool of thread or something of that like.

Any assistance will be great appreciated.

I don't know what it is, but the pointy thing looks like a couple field points from arrows on top of each other.

I would guess some kind of table extension that pivots to different angles. Or not.
