With these you never know which side is up...or down!?! A few doubled ended FP's that were commissioned.

First up is a total Demonstrator style. Everything was made with clear acrylic and has two 18k nibs.

Next has a clear acrylic center portion. The caps and sections I made the resin myself.

Last up is a tribute to the color Orange (Not really. My customer just loves Orange). Orange acrylic center. The caps and sections I made the resin myself.

Thanks for looking! Sorry for the sideways pics. For some reason the site automatically does that with anything taken by my phone. They're the correct orientation on my computer.

Incredible Concept and Execution, Jonathon.
Glorious Demonstrator, Such Clarity of the Machined Acrylic, especially the Threads.
The Second Coloured Pen, with the Crystal Clear Acrylic is Outstanding.
As is the Stunning Orange Pen.
When I first saw your Double ended pen, my mind immediately, went to the Movie, of Doctor Doolittle, and the "Push Me, Pull Me" Alpaca.
Strange how these things pop into one's mind.
Nothing strange about the Designs, and Craftsmanship of your Pens Jonathon.
Brilliant.
Congratulations,
Brian.

OK, can someone explain to me why you'd make or need a double end FP?

I'm not being a smart arse, just really curious.

Thanks.

I'd guess the main reason you'd want one is so that you could have two different colors of ink available at the same time, without having to carry two pens.
As for why you'd make one, I'd have two reasons: to prove that you can, and because a customer wanted one.
... just guesses from someone who doesn't have, and hasn't made one.

Truthfully, I wondered before I looked at the photos if they'd be completely hollow inside, and eyedropper filled so that you could have different nibs feeding off the same ink supply.

I made my first one bc I wanted to try it out. I made more bc people buy them.

I think the draw to them is you can use 2 different inks and 2 different nibs without much effort. A lot of fountain pen enthusiasts like various grinds done on their nibs. These pens would allow the most flair and line variation for them.
