Nice Top!

Very nice top! I'm interested in making this style of top. Would you be willing to share your method?

Sure, I turn a center shaft out of a piece of scrap, in this case a hunk of purple heart. Then I cut a 3" diameter disk out of some slabbed burl and drilled a hole to match the turned center shaft in it's center. Supper glue in place then turn to shape as a unit. Get it all very close to final shape and sand, cut the pivot point last. You should be able to take it very close to a finished point. Bit o hand sanding and your done. The more weight in the outside edge the more stable the top

I am going to make a zip string type top to go with this one tomarow.....I'll post it up on the same thread.
