Got my pen inventory to up over 100 again so now so it's time to work on some other things to add variety to up coming craft sales. I sold out of these last year so made a couple more today.

I been making the top and bottom separately, how did you get the wood grain to match like that?

Shape the top part first and part it off . Put a recess in the bottom part for it to fit back in to . . . .

Me too

I have been making these since I read the article in Wood Mag awhile back. I added salt and pepper shakers and present them as a set.

Yes Gary, you are right .

These are not only fun to make but they get habit forming after doing a few so I turned a couple more .
This time its cherry and birch that I glued up from some odds and ends this morning.
