I normally only turn about 2 pens per week, but today I was able to make 4. It was 102˚ here in Alvin, too hot to do anything outside, but I have a window AC in my woodshop so I spent a few hours there today.
I've only been at this a few months, so I'm still learning how to use my tools and how to turn & finish different woods. I mostly make slimlines & I'm a long way from segmenting and other advanced techniques, but I'm enjoying the hobby and learning a lot here at IAP.
L-R: Macadamia Nut & Cinnamon with golf club clips, Aromatic Cedar with an awareness ribbon clip, and Maple with a standard clip.
I got some great highly figured maple wood in my recent pecan wood swap - awesome wood and hard as a rock!
