Going to the Air Museum tomorrow to see it up close...........WOW!

I have an original photo with a Lanc (circa 40's in London with my dad in it! very cool to see what he was talking about all this time)

This is one of the only 2 operational Lanc's left in the world. This one lives in Hamilton, and the other is in England.

Thanks for looking,
Tim

Memories

Memories of my boyhood although I remember the American planes more. There is a War Bird museum about 10 miles away and we have fly overs quite often. There are two P-51 Mustangs, at the airfield. No other plane sounds like it. One called Crazy Horse has a website.

The Heritage Museum actually takes people up in the Lancaster (for a hefty price) or
at least they used to

I know exhilaration well.... A few years ago I had the privilege of seeing the B-17 "Memphis Belle" up close and personal at an air show. While she sat stationary, all her doors and hatches were open. I was able to stick my head inside and feel the aircraft under my fingertips. You could literally smell the history of that airplane. I had always admired that aircraft, but that day, I fell in love.
