.270's make the 100th Rifle Cartridge Bullet pens I have sold over the past 4 months through 3 Gun Shows as well as by word of mouth.

I have found that handing out business cards along with description and refill instruction cards with each pen sold has resulted in a lot of phone calls and email's for pens.

These were made for a customer who wanted pens made from the cartridges that he and his two sons used to get a huge Whitetail Buck last fall. The Antler is from the Whitetail Buck they shot.

As always comments and or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Great work as usual Les.
I am wondering what you are using for the center band on those.
On the 30.06 ones I have made I have done some with no center band , some with standard Euro band and some with Fancy Euro bands .
The ones you show here look like yet another choice. .

This type of pen has become my best seller in recent months.

Thanks Bill.

The center bands are machined off of another .270 cartridge.

Are you powdercoating yours?

No powder coating.

I apply 2 coats of Opex Clear Gloss Acrylic Metal Lacquer made by Sherwin-Williams that I have thinned with Lacquer Thinner to a 40% Lacquer and 60% Lacquer Thinner mixture. I use the dipping method due to the fact that I found that spray lacquer leaves an Orange Peel finish. I hang the brass through a hole drilled into the end of the dowel and let dry for at least 4 hours prior to apply the second coat.
