I was lucky enough to win this BOB from Brian G in the trivia contest:

(21 blanks -- I couldn't believe it when I opened the box!!)

This is such an awesome collection of blanks. THANK YOU Brian!!!!!!

I have made my first pen using one of the blanks:

(This was the small blank at the very top of the first photo.)

This was perfect for giving to an old boss at his retirement party yesterday.

Thanks again to Brian and to all the people that helped set up and run the Birthday Bash!!

You're welcome, Dirk. I couldn't leave that little space empty. I used a "patina" buffing compound on that blank instead of the black buffing compound. You turned it well.

I haven't turned any of the 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 10th from the left, so I'm eager to see what you come up with. The 6th is an attempt to make a camouflage blank, so it might pair well with gun metal plating. The 10th is a mix of antique metal pigments.

One question about your photo: What's that green stuff in the background?

You will be cussing that green stuff in about three months. Provided the lake drains away.

Dirk, That Brian is one swell guy but he has this 'cow' problem and he can't seem to lick it. But we make allowances for him after all he is one of the Minnesota Chapter Members.

Keep smiling.
