Does anyone have, or know of a source for, any wood related to Texas A&M?

I just need a couple of pen blanks & maybe a large enough piece for a bottle stopper. It doesn't have to be anything super special, just a pice of wood from an old campus building or a campus tree would be fine.

Thanks
Edgar

I've never come across anything TAMU related, but will keep my eyes open for it. I've considered using Honduran Rosewood Burl for Aggies based on the color only. Or maybe stabilized manure :tongue:

Get a good saw and go to the campus. If the school isn't too far away, maybe the maintenance people might have some tree trimmings for campus trees or shrubs.

I've also had good luck selling Purple Heart to Aggies if you can't find what you are looking for Edgar.

Thanks Dan - that's certainly one possibility. I've also used Jarrah Burl a couple of times to make pens for some of my Aggie friends & I can get maroon & white acrylic blanks at Woodcraft. Those are all fallback options, but I'd like to get some actual TAMU wood for this pen if I can.

If this graduate were a veterinarian, I might consider that latter suggestion. :)
