To provide a better visual reference on how the bottle stopper blank I'm turning will look when attached to the metal stopper, I tapered the bushing to match the angle of the metal piece.
Both the Ruth Niles and AS Stainless Stoppers have a 20 degree angle so I could taper both bushings easily.
