I'm going to a conference next week and my old Chief Engineer will be there...so I made him this pen and pen box. I used Curtis' cactus juice and his custom chamber along with some alumillite dye to color a piece of poplar. I wish it would have come out darker...but I'm happy with the results. The warefare piece is yellowheart. I used a pen turning mandrel on my rotary attachment in my laser engraver to engrave and cut the two wood tubes (yellowheart and dyed poplar). A few coats of CA and that was that. I'm not that fond of the click pens but I'm all out of twist kits. Hey, it's a freebie so hopefully he will be happy! I had to draw his commands logo for the pen box line by line because the image they have on their website was such poor quality. Quite a bit of work...but fun to have done it all in my shop.
