This a Sugar Pine Cone that I picked up at Big Bear, coming past the dam in 1970. It was a large cone. I had to turn off more of the center than I would have liked to have done. If I had stopped at a stopper size it would have been much better. Kit is an Emperor.

I agree. I have had a "problem" with wanting to make larger, heavier type pens, especially with the larger higher end pen kits. Sometimes, even with the Euros. Have no idea why. Since my 'lay-off' period, I'm turning more within the boundaries of a particular kit. Again, I have no idea why I've changed the way I turn now. I used to do similar stuff when I turned rod handles.
Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.

Its not Picasa, its me. Every time I tried to resize to about 800x650, the size resized to much less, seemingly on its own. Apparently I did sumpin wrong.
Gonna take today off from the pens and try to get the software right.
thanks Russ
