Stratus

I made a Stratus (pink Spectraply and chrome) but I had to take it apart. It is a click and I tried to use a punch and just hit on the edge of the clip end inside the blank, but after 15 minutes or so and no movement, I used a larger punch and hit it on the mechanism itself. I put it back together and it works, seems fine. I just wonder if some kind of damage could have been done that won't show up for a while? Anyone ever done this before?

I've turned several Stratus pens, but never had to disassemble one. I would say if it still works, you're good.
