The daughter of a close friend is going to have her Bat Mitzvah (a young lady's version of a Bar Mitzvah). I've never done an inlaid pen such as a celtic cross but what better time to start. I'd like to make a pen with an inlaid Star of David to give to her as a Bat Mitzvah gift. My question is, does anyone know how to make a pen with an inlaid Star of David? If so would you mind sharing the plans with me? Thanks for your help

I don't intend this in a negative way, but I hope you have a LOT of spare time.
Eagle and I talked about this often; done without laser engraving, it's a tough one to get just right.

Basically, you have to make two perfectly balanced, equilateral triangles which are rotated and balanced 180 degrees from one another.

Good luck, have fun, and post your results.

I have made a few. I use my laser to engrave the star and then fill with blue embossing powder. Here is an example.
