Spalted red oak bowl

I rough turned this bowl about a month ago. I had a piece the size of a half of a football hit the floor joist above me. The wife freaked out but I was not hit. I think it was worth the excitement. Enjoy, Russell

Russell, I agree that is one nice bowl. Great job. The grain in the wood reminds me of some old wall paintings that were found at Pompei, and maybe even some of the Roman wall murals.

Sam the finish is rattle can Deft lacquer. I gave the hole to my mother inlaw, the tree came off her property.
