Ru·ben·esque (r#333;#333;'b#601;-n#283;sk') Pronunciation Key
adj.
1. Of, relating to, or in the style of painting of Peter Paul Rubens.
2. Plump or fleshy and voluptuous. Used of a woman.

Politely, he is saying that your pens are a bit large in their contours. Shape is of course a personal thing. Although your work is very nicely finished, I am not a fan of overly contoured pens.

I've never been a fan of the plump pens but I have an order for 20 assorted acrylic pens in that shape that will be given as Christmas presents. The buyer has one like that and thinks it's very comfortable to write with. She paid up front so I'm glad to make them anyway she wants.[:)]

thanks Doug & ligget .... I agree ask up front to see what they want!! but I usually make 'em a little plump, most people seem to like 'em, especially at a craft show, etc...they usually like the feel. I make thinner ones too, but not the slimlines. The cigar / bigben pens I tend to keep closer to the bushing size since they're so beefy anyways!! (sold the koa cigar one above for $75 & the polaris for $60) Think I'll do more of those!!!
adios...
Ron
