Thanks everyone for the input. As for the ribbons I get them at JoAnn Fabric for 40% of. I make sure it will fit around the 7mm tube exactly. The seam is hard to see. I use a a pair of tweezers to hold the ribbon on as I CA glue it on the tube. Then I pour the resin in the mold my husband made. This is the Autism pen I am working on. I blew out the other part of the pens because I did not use enough glue on the ribbon. Hope that explains it enough. Let me know if you have any other question. I hope I can answer. sorry for the bad picture but this the mold and the other part of the pen. the other is a ribbon of Minnie with an acrylic bottom.
Very Nice Pens, Judith.
Excellent Blanks, and Superb Finish.
I have a "Thing" about 'Wasp Shapes", I feel your Pen Profile would be Greatly Improved by Turning the Blanks, down to the Bushing Diameter.
Congratulations,
Brian.
I know I am so scared the pens is going to break on me. I will work hard on turning to the bushing. My husband tells me the same thing. Thanks for the advice.

One thing you can do is switch to using pens that have more "meat" on them, then you won't have to worry as much about them failing on you. Also, glue up a bunch of scrap wood tube sets, use 'em for practice.
