Slimline pens

Hi can someone tell me why the slimline pens all turn back while writing,is there a special trick that you must do to stop the cartridge from turning back.

I'm a little lost in your question? Are you talking about the ink? Or the wood blank turning black?

Some china kits transmissions are prone to do this, just make sure that you are getting the transmission installed correctly and not so deep that the ink refill is allowed to extend all the way . The china kits have gotten better over the last couple years. The Taiwanese trans have not had this problem..

The refill/cartridge on the slimline pen is a turn in and turn out system, but while you are writing, it is as if there is no lock system to keep it out, it turns back while you are writing.

Not all do this. My experience is that many of the kits made in mainland China will so this but the kits (at least most of them)made in Taiwan do have a "locking" mechanism. The refill extends all of the way out then drops back just a little locking it in place.
