Have been trying out different wood species for small bowls. Five bowls are hollow forms; four hollow forms have potpourri lids. I held off putting finish on and buffing until I could do a batch all at one time. Just finished off these six bowls last week ... 3 coats Minwax Antique Oil Finish followed by buffing.

A tape measure is stretched across the bottom of the first two photos to help discern bowl sizes. The largest (walnut) is 8 inches diameter x 2-1/4 inches high; the smallest (flaming box elder) is 4-1/2 inches dia x 3-1/2 inches high. The other four bowls are 6 inches dia x 3 inches high.

The species are (left to right) ... Walnut, Osage Orange, Red Elm, Box Elder, Red Cedar, Cherry.
